His Little Secret by Jessa Kane
Ripley has been in love with her step-uncle, Mase, since he got out of prison. Though they’ve stalked each other with their eyes for a long time, they haven’t acted on their blistering attraction and the clock is starting to tick. Ripley is leaving for college next week and doesn’t want to go without quenching the hunger he’s stirred with his scarred biker hands and big, tattooed body. When she finds a mysterious number in his phone and calls it, she formulates a plan and sets it into motion. She’ll seduce Mase without revealing her true identity. Once they’ve been together, he’ll stop warning Ripley that she’s forbidden and they’ll finally be together.
Mase ought to be ashamed of himself, lusting after his brother’s much younger stepdaughter. But hell if he can help it. No, he can’t resist being drawn closer and closer to the flame, dying to get burned…and he finally does, duped into one night that did nothing to get the sweet redhead out of his system. Ripley is now pregnant with his child. But his outburst over being tricked has driven her away. Now he’ll move heaven and earth to get her back. To make her his forever.

His Little Secret was about Ripley and her step-uncle Mase. This was a fast read. Mase met Ripley after being released from prison, where he'd spent the previous ten years for whatever crime had been committed while he was a member of the motorcycle club (he took a fall for the club's president). His brother had married his third wife, and along with the wife he acquired a stepdaughter, who just happened to be 14-year-old Ripley. For the next four years, Mase stayed away from her except for when the family had dinner together. He had, however, turned in his membership to the club the very day he met her (although she wasn't aware of that). He told his friends who were still in it that meeting her made him want to be a better person. There was nothing inappropriate said or done between them during those four years. The only other difference was that, from the moment he met her until the day he claimed her, he had not been with anyone else. The author didn't state at what age Ripley began flirting with Mase, but he never stepped out of line, and she never pushed him too far. But after she turned 18, all bets were off for her, and she was determined to give him her innocence before leaving for college. She only had a week left in which to do so. However, her maneuvers were thwarted by her unsuspecting stepfather. As Mase left her room, leaving her untouched, she realized he'd dropped his phone. With the idea of deleting the numbers for any female contacts he might have (there were none), the only thing she found that was noteworthy was a number without a name. After calling it, the person on the other end surprised her...and gave her an idea of how to get what she wanted from Mase. So she set up a trap for him. Yes, a trap. Once Mase realized the girl he was trying to forget Ripley with was, in fact, Ripley herself, it led to a situation that inadvertently pushed her away from him. Five days later, he was stalking her, trying to get her attention. He found her in a pharmacy and realized what must have happened. She had to be buying a pregnancy test. Determined to win her back, he figured out a plan which, in the end, worked in both of their favor. This was a hot short story with a little angst and a touch of drama. While it was only a micro-story, it was worth reading...just not five-star worthy.
Quick read but it's Jessa so it's a great read as always
