Nina by Mazzy King

Nina has spent a lifetime trying to prove her place in the male-dominated rock genre, but her powerhouse vocals and charisma as the frontwoman of hard-rock band Dolls Kill can’t be denied. It earns them a spot on the festival tour organized by ultra-successful band Dark Ride, but now, Nina faces a new set of challenges: not every band on the bill agrees that Dolls Kill belongs. In fact, some of them downright hate the fact that they’re there, and do nothing to hide it.
The last thing she needs is to complicate an already complicated situation with romance, but when the boy she used to know from high school re-enters her life in a startling way, avoiding romance might not be something within her control. And when word trickles out and hits social media, the rumor spreads that Dolls Kill is on this coveted bill due to Nina’s feminine wiles instead of talent.
You just don’t do that to a true riot grrrl. But can she really turn her back on newfound romance to save her professional reputation?
